Consultation
Patients and Families: One time or second opinion consultation for patients and/or families who are not currently part of our practice.
Clinical Professionals: One time or ongoing case consultation for clinical professionals from all disciplines.

Treatment Programs: Training sessions for treatment program administrators, clinicians and staff.
Consultation Rate: $750/hr
Outreach
Schools and Other Settings: As a former teacher, Dr. Lowenthal is passionate about eating disorder education in school settings. Experienced with both large and small groups, she provides educational sessions for county educational boards, school leadership, teachers, counselors, nurses, coaches and parents.
Dr. Lowenthal is also available for speaking engagements in other community settings.
Advocacy
Medical Leave and/or Accommodations: For patients in need of medically justified leaves from school and/or work. *For established patients only
Insurance Denials for Mental Health: Assistance with insurance appeals for treatment.
Expert Witness Services: Expert opinions regarding denial of treatment or benefits for eating disorder as well as other mental and physical conditions.

Dr. Lowenthal is a Board-Certified family physician specializing in medical care for eating disorders. Practicing medicine since 2007, she is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) where she served as Chief Resident. Named one of the East Bay’s “Best Doctors” in 2012, she is a six-time Patients Choice Award recipient and a four-time Compassionate Doctor Award recipient.
